Producer and Platinum writer OD Hunte has independently carved out a niche for himself as one of London's top producers as attested by his international Film, TV and Game placements as well as Major and independent production and remix work alongside the worlds premier acts such as Black Eyed Peas, Akon and Gnarls Barkley. In October 2011, OD Hunte signed a publishing deal with Levels/EMI music publishing and has recently worked with artists Wretch 32 and Emile Sande on their track "The Underdog Law" and produced Acoustic versions for Wretch's Deluxe Black and White Album. He has previously worked with Leona Lewis, Wretch 32, Josh Kumra, L, and Alex Mills and many more. Among other projects, OD is currently working with the Austrian celebrity singer Nadine Beiler. Internationally, OD's most recent placements in the US TV shows Blue Mountain State and Necessary Roughness add to his already long list of film and TV placements such as the US Feature Film Mother and Child starring Samuel L Jackson, Naomi Watts, Annette Bening and Kerry Washington which featured the track "I Am What I Am" by his recording project Ten Days Till. Ten Days Till featured vocals by singer/songwriter Lifford best known for his international chart hit "Please Don't Turn Me On" with Artful Dodger. Other major Film and TV music placements for OD included "Get Them Hands High" by Ten Days Till in American Pie 6, Warner Brothers' Fast Lane, Paula Abdul's Hey Paula and EA Sports NBA Live 07. "I Am What I Am" and "Get Them Hands High" are taken from the 4 track EP released on OD's own Southern Cuba Records Label and represents 4 of the 10 tracks from the completed but unreleased MusicSoulLife album. Astonishingly "Get Them Hands Hi" has clocked upi over 1.8 million youtube views across different videos. In addition to the previously mentioned US films, other films to feature OD Hunte's music include Farce of The Penguins starring Samuel L Jackson and Whoopi Goldberg and Pretty Dirty Things. OD's ability to create a compelling backing track that stands on it own is exemplified in the latter of these placements as Pretty Dirty Things featured the instrumental "Makin of A Million" while Farce of the Penguins featured "From the Start" by newcomer Slic One. This was the second major placement for the OD Hunte Produced Slic One, the first being "Crook Dancin'" in EA Sports' legendary Fight Night Round 3 series of games. As a Producer/writer OD has worked with many up and coming artists as well as some house hold names. OD has either produced or co-written with or for artists such as as Emeli Sande, Leona Lewis, Nadine Beiler, Unkle Jam, Kay Jay (UK no 19 with Last Night the DJ saved my life) Natalia Druyts, Leela James, Javine Hylton, Byron Stingly, George McCrae, Mattafix, J Appiah, Portia Emare plus many others. "I Was Born", the track originally produced and co-written by OD was one of the tracks on the Natalia Druyts (SongBMG) album recently hit the #1 summit in Europe No 1 gaining OD a platinum certification. Although OD has concentrated on writing original backing tracks, OD has been commissioned by numerous labels and individuals to remix their releases for club promotion or single release. Some select commissions have included Kleshay "Rush" Sony (UK no 19), Leela James "Music" Atlantic Records, Mattafix "Cool Down The Pace" Buddhist Punk Records, Daisy Hicks "Sweetest Love" Concept Music. OD's TV placements read like the who's who of international media programming with placements in every major Television territory. Shows include Necessary Roughness (2011) , Blue Mountain State (Series 3 2011) MTV's Pimp My Ride, Next, Makin' The Band, Yo Mama, Runs House, Punkd, The Hills, Making The Video, Date My Mom, Making The Band, Next, Run's House, Ride With Funkmaster Flex, The Osbournes, Dirty Pretty Things, Knock First, Las Vegas (New), Constant Craving, Night and Day, Africa Within, Resurrection Boulevard, Girlfriends, Switched!, Hollyoaks, Bargain Hunt, Sausage Factory, Black Like Beckham, Child Of Our Time, Four Fathers, Miss Universe, Pageant 2002, Everything Must Go, Futbol Mundial, Trefor Only, Velvet Soup, Si J Etais and Garden and many others. Born in the West Indian island of Trinidad, OD moved to the UK in his teens to finish his education, later graduating from the University of Surrey with a Physics with Modern Acoustic Degree. OD was the first student at the University of Surrey to have a solo art exhibition of his paintings. Outside of music, OD known by his given name Owen, is a part time professional model having shot and filmed in the last year for Vodafone, Ethiad Airlines, Barclays, Skype, Dentyl Active (National UK TV commercial), Ford, Guinness Africa, Zip Car, EE and QVC. In other media, OD has appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live twice, lending his voice to topical debates and in June 2011 appeared on BBC Breakfast TV as a guest joining in to discuss another topical music industry related subject. OD started an iOS development company in 2009 called Appnoose which has 6 products in the App store. His first app was a health and fitness app ITGO - Interval Trainer GO and ITGO HD for the iPhone/ iPod Touch and iPad respectively. ITGO HD as been to Top Grossing iPad App in the Heath and Fitness category in 23 countries and his Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite App has been the Number 1 Kids game in 11 countries. ITGO has been featured in the Financial Times ft.com, as an Apple staff favourite, in UK magazine Men's Running and ABC. OD's ITGO was the first ever iOS device to feature dual music playlists for interval training.
